Experience one of the world’s most iconic courses at City2Surf! Start your 14km journey in the heart of Sydney’s bustling CBD and finish at the world-famous Bondi Beach. Begin at the intersection of Park and College Streets, race downhill on William Street, and pass through the Kings Cross Tunnel. Enjoy the scenic route along New South Head Road, through Rose Bay, and tackle the infamous Heartbreak Hill, presented by AIA. Take in the stunning views as you turn at Vaucluse onto Old South Head Road and Military Road. Finish strong with a turnaround at Curlewis Street and cross the finish line on Queen Elizabeth Drive at Bondi Beach.

It’s designed to welcome you into the community and give you everything you need to feel confident stepping into a volunteer role.

As R4R has grown, it’s important that everyone is clear on how things run, what their role is, and how we support each other.

In this free session, we’ll cover:
• how our Wednesday nights and other events operate
• what your role looks like as a volunteer
• expectations, safety, and escalation pathways

This session is focused purely on volunteering.

A separate Mental Health Training session with the Medicare Mental Health Centre will be held on Wednesday 26th August.

No registration needed. Just come along and we’ll get you set up.

About the event

Over the past three years, Crusade for Connor has brought people together to honour Connor’s legacy and support important research into schizophrenia.

This year’s event will be a 5km walk or 10km run from The Dock in Kingston. Everyone is welcome. Walk, run, donate, or just show up.

Supporting NeuRA

We’re very appreciative of everyone’s generosity over the past three years. If you’re able to donate this year, all proceeds will continue supporting Neuroscience Research Australia and its research into schizophrenia.

NeuRA’s work is focused on understanding the underlying causes of Schizophrenia and finding new treatments that improve quality of life for people affected.

Why this matters

Schizophrenia is a mental disorder characterised by a disconnection from reality. It affects how a person thinks, feels, and behaves.

It often emerges in adolescence or young adulthood and affects around 1 in 100 people in Australia and worldwide.

Here’s what happening:

The Bakers Run – Supporting Bravery Trust

In partnership with Coles and the ANZAC Biscuit Fundraiser

Join us on Wednesday 22 April for a full day of movement, mateship, and meaningful support for Bravery Trust, who provide emergency financial aid, counselling, and education to veterans, serving personnel, and their families.

🏃‍♂️ Morning: The Bakers Run

We’ll run from Coles Manuka to Coles Civic via the Australian War Memorial, carrying sacks of flour, oats, and sugar — symbolising the load others have carried for us, and the simple ways we can help in return.

  • 📍 Meet at Coles Manuka – 6:30am

  • 🏃‍♀️ Run via Telopea Park and ANZAC Parade

  • 📸 Photo stop & presentation at the War Memorial

  • 🏁 Finish at Coles Civic around 8:00am, done by 8:30am

🌇 Evening: R4R – Bravery Trust Edition

At our regular Wednesday night R4R run, we’ll continue the theme of service and support. Every runner will receive a Coles ANZAC Biscuit post-run, in recognition of the Bravery Trust and the ongoing support from Coles.

  • 📍 Meet at Arc de Resilience, Eastlake Parade, Kingston – 5:45pm

  • 🏃‍♂️ Run starts at 6:00pm | Finished by 7:00pm

Volunteer Training Session

This session is for anyone new to Running for Resilience, current volunteers, or anyone considering getting involved.

It’s designed to welcome you into the community and give you everything you need to feel confident stepping into a volunteer role.

As R4R has grown, it’s important that everyone is clear on how things run, what their role is, and how we support each other.

In this free session, we’ll cover:
• how our Wednesday nights and other events operate
• what your role looks like as a volunteer
• expectations, safety, and escalation pathways

This session is focused purely on volunteering.

A separate Mental Health Training session with the Medicare Mental Health Centre will be held on Wednesday 29th April.

No registration needed. Just come along and we’ll get you set up.

When: 7pm, Wednesday 15th April

Where: Local Press Café (next to The Dock), right after R4R

Come join us for a fun morning of Pickleball and Padel thanks to the legends at Canberra Racquet Club. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned player, everyone’s welcome.

Format: 90-minute session

Tennis for Resilience

Tennis for Resilience

Thanks to Tennis ACT, we now have Tennis for Resilience for the next 10 Fridays. It’s free and open to all ages and abilities.

Program dates: Every Friday starting 13 March
Time: 4:00pm – 5:30pm
Location: Barton Tennis Club

Sessions are beginner-friendly and include:

  • POP Tennis

  • Traditional tennis

  • Modified balls (orange or green) suited to newer players

No experience needed. Just show up and have a hit.

From 5:30pm, participants are invited to The Dock for a relaxed drink and connection.

Each week, one participant will receive a Prize Pack provided by Tennis ACT:

  • 1 × Babolat racquet

  • 12-month club membership (venue of choice)

  • 10-pack Cardio Tennis lessons at Tennis World

  • $50 Dock voucher

  • 1 × can of tennis balls

Whether you’re picking up a racquet for the first time or returning to the court, this program is about feeling better, not playing perfect.

Canberra Day Appeal Fun Run 2026

Join the Canberra Day Appeal Fun Run and help raise funds for Hands Across Canberra, supporting local charities across the ACT.

This is a community event for all ages and abilities. You can run or walk and take part as an individual, with friends, or as a family.

Location
Lennox Gardens District Park, located off Flynn Dr, Yarralumla.

Purpose
The Fun Run is part of the Canberra Day Appeal, which runs for the month leading up to Canberra Day and raises vital funds for local charities.

All proceeds from the event go directly to the appeal.

Event Details

Distances and start times

  • 10km – 8:00 am

  • 5km – 8:15 am

Entry fees

  • 10km – $45

  • 5km – $35

Minimum age

  • 10km: 13 years

  • 5km: No minimum age. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a guardian.

Families and kids
This event is family-friendly. You’re welcome to walk or run together.

Cut-off time
Race timing concludes at 11:30 am. Participants must finish by this time.

Registrations
Registrations close Sunday 8 March at 4:00 pm.
No on-the-day entries will be accepted.

Come along and celebrate the first anniversary of the Denman x R4R launch. It’s been a great year of evening runs and being part of the R4R community.

Join Running For Resilience for an amazing evening at our third annual Gala!

📅 Date: Saturday, 28 February 2026

🚤 Location: Aboard the "Love Boat" on Lake Burley Griffin, leaving from the The Dock

Time:

  • Pre-event gathering at The Dock from 4 PM

  • Boarding at 5 PM, returns at 9 PM

  • Post-event gathering at The Dock until close
