University of Canberra x R4R 1st year anniversary!

Sri Chinmoy Trail 100
Canberra boasts some of the world’s best trails, offering a unique run that celebrates the Natural Capital with adventure, scenic views, and an endurance challenge.
This journey weaves through hills, nature parks, and open spaces of central, south, and north Canberra, starting and ending at Rond Terrace by Lake Burley Griffin.
Enjoy the thrill of a genuine trail race, combined with urban convenience, safety, and city services. Runners can either tackle the 100km solo or team up in a relay of 2-4 members.
Solo runners depart at 6am and relay teams depart at 6:30 🏃

City2Surf Training Run
Experience one of the world’s most iconic courses at City2Surf! Start your 14km journey in the heart of Sydney’s bustling CBD and finish at the world-famous Bondi Beach. Begin at the intersection of Park and College Streets, race downhill on William Street, and pass through the Kings Cross Tunnel. Enjoy the scenic route along New South Head Road, through Rose Bay, and tackle the infamous Heartbreak Hill, presented by AIA. Running for Resilience has grown fast, and giving our volunteers the tools to look after themselves (while spotting red flags in others and connecting them with support) has never been more important.
This free session will cover the weekly volunteer logistics and include a training session from the team at the Medicare Mental Health Centre.

Capital to Coast
Join the Capital to Coast (C2C) from 29 to 31 August 2025, a thrilling multi-stage 100km foot race between Canberra, ACT, and the South Coast, NSW. This exciting event features nine stages with a mix of fire trails, dirt roads, and single tracks, accommodating all experience levels. Stages range from approximately 8km to 15km, offering varied elevation and terrain.


ReBoot in Bermagui
Shake off the winter wobbles and spring into Bermagui on the 4th of October for the ReBoot Fun Run in Bermagui, NSW.
Join us for a run with a choice of three distances: 5km, 15km, or a kids 1.5km run. 🏃
Not only is there a fun run but tons more activities to join in on like ocean swims, bike rides, Pilates and more for the whole family!

Canberra Colour Frenzy
Colour Frenzy is coming! A colourful day for everyone!
5 Colour Stations, 1 Foam Station and new obstacles. All the stations and events are for all ages!
You can walk, jog, or run, it’s completely self-paced and untimed. There is a 2.5km loop track marked out with multiple colourful zones along the way. You can do 1 or all 2 laps, it’s your choice! No timing and No pressure!

Halloween Run
Weather it’s a onesie or a head to toe costume of superman, come and suit up with us for a run at Denman!
Come dressed up in your spookiest, silliest or most creative costume to run, jog or walk through the course. 👻🏃♀️
We’ll see you all in front of Denman kitchen before taking off on our spooky run and finishing it off with a drink/bite over a nice chat!

The Canberra Times Fun Run 2025
Join The Canberra Times Fun Run on the 2nd of November! Come and set your own pace and choose between 4 distances, 21.2km, 10km, 5km, or a 2km kids run.
This course takes you around some of the best of Canberra’s iconic landmarks like the old and new parliament houses and Lake Burley Griffin.
After the run, wind down in the lively event village filled with entertainment for the whole family.

Sri Chinmoy Triple-Triathlon
The Sri Chinmoy Triple-Triathlon is an iconic event showcasing Canberra's beauty and a highlight on the national multi-sport calendar. It offers an ultimate scenic tour through a series of demanding activities.
Participants can join as teams or solo entrants, with solo attempts being one of the most challenging single-day sports feats. Most compete in teams, enhancing the experience with camaraderie, speed, strategy, and endurance.

Stromlo Running Festival
The Stromlo Running Festival is Canberra’s biggest trail running festival.
This festival is designed so that anyone can join, whether it’s a distance of 5km, 10km, 15km, 30km, a marathon, or a 2.5km course designed for the kids.
Come and celebrate strength, resilience, and courage and challenge yourself on Canberra’s wide open trails!

Running for Resilience’s 6th Birthday
Running for Resilience is turning 6! Join us to celebrate on Wednesday, 10th December, at 6:00pm at The Dock. Bring a friend (and some cakes if you’d like!) and help us toast to six years of resilience, community, and well-being. Can’t wait to see you there!

New Years Eve Run & Picnic
Kick off your New Year’s Eve with the R4R run at 6pm from The Jetty, followed by a picnic and celebrations. Enjoy the 9pm fireworks with the family or stay until midnight to welcome the new year – kids welcome!

The Fun Run Pink is a part of the Ramsey Health Care Triathlon. Although the triathlons are women only, there are fun runs for all genders and ages!

Sydney Marathon Training Run with Kudos Run Club
Welcome to the Sydney Marathon Training Run with Kudos Run Club!
The meeting point is under the flags located at Queen Victoria Terrace at 7am for a 7:15 am start and the 28km track will run around Lake Burley Griffin in an anticlockwise loop.
Everyone is more than welcome to run at their own pace or with the pace groups at 4:30 to 7:00 min/km.
We welcome everybody even if you’re not participating in the Sydney Marathon!


Bravehearts 777 Marathon
The Bravehearts 777 in Canberra, ACT on 5 July 2025 is the sixth of 7 marathons in 7 states in 7 days. The Bravehearts 777 is a exhilarating challenge which will see participants run marathons in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Launceston, Sydney, Canberra and the Gold Coast. All marathons in the Bravehearts 777 are accurately measured 42.2km loop courses. Runners can choose a distance from 7km, 14km, 21.1km & 42.2km.

Mental Health & Resilience Community Forum with R4R x Thomas Emerson MLA
Join us for an evening of movement, community and conversation.
We’ll kick off at 6pm from The Dock in Kingston with our regular Wednesday Running for Resilience walk/jog/run around Lake Burley Griffin.
At 7pm, we’ll head inside the pub for a community forum focused on real solutions to Canberra’s mental health crisis.

Lili Mooney – sharing a short reflection on her experience with Running for Resilience and mental wellbeing.
Panel discussion hosted by:
Thomas Emerson, Independent MLA and Chair of the Assembly’s Social Policy Committee (currently leading an inquiry into men’s suicide in Canberra).

Frankies at Forde Run Launch
Come on down and join us for the launch of our Forde run!
Not only will we be having a stroll, walk, or run around the lake, but a barbeque bash right after! Come by and kick things off with a run that’s set at your pace and finish things off with a chat over a drink and some barbeque.

Cookie Monster Run for Bravery Trek

In partnership with Coles and the ANZAC Biscuit Fundraiser
Join us on Wednesday 23 April for a full day of movement, mateship, and meaningful support for Bravery Trust, who provide emergency financial aid, counselling, and education to veterans, serving personnel, and their families.
🏃♂️ Morning: The Bakers Run
We’ll run from Coles Manuka to Coles Civic via the Australian War Memorial, carrying sacks of flour, oats, and sugar — symbolising the load others have carried for us, and the simple ways we can help in return.
📍 Meet at Coles Manuka – 6:30am
🏃♀️ Run via Telopea Park and ANZAC Parade
📸 Photo stop & presentation at the War Memorial
🏁 Finish at Coles Civic around 8:00am, done by 8:30am
🌇 Evening: R4R – Bravery Trust Edition
At our regular Wednesday night R4R run, we’ll continue the theme of service and support. Every runner will receive a Coles ANZAC Biscuit post-run, in recognition of the Bravery Trust and the ongoing support from Coles.
📍 Meet at Arc de Resilience, Eastlake Parade, Kingston – 5:45pm
🏃♂️ Run starts at 6:00pm | Finished by 7:00pm

The Canberra Times Marathon Festival
Join the oldest city marathon in Australia at The Canberra Times Marathon Festival on 13 April 2025! This prestigious event features five distances showcasing the beautiful scenery of Australia's Capital City.
Choose from the AIMS-certified Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K courses, or enjoy the 5.4K and Kids' 2K fun run. All races start near Old Parliament House, offering stunning views of the National Triangle and Lake Burley Griffin.
No matter your level, there's something for everyone. Celebrate running in Canberra and receive a FREE finisher t-shirt.

Due to the closure of 18 centres in QLD and Nothern NSW because of the cyclone, there is an urgent call for blood donations this week. So, we encourage you to book in if you would like the chance to donate blood or plasma. There is currently 1x plasma donation time slot scheduled for 8:15am, and 1x whole blood donation time slot for 8:45am, both avaible to book through the link below.

Sri Chinmoy 48 Hour Track Festival
The Sri Chinmoy 48 Hour Track Festival from 21 to 23 March 2025 offers a smorgasbord of track races from 6 hours to the 48 Hour Ultra-Marathon. In 2025, the 24 Hour is the AUTRA Australian National 24 Hour Championship event. This event is based at the world-class 400m floodlit AIS Athletics Track in Canberra.
